Marianne Ackerman is a Montreal-based novelist, short story writer, playwright and journalist. Her first novel was the best-selling Jump (2000), a comic look at a family in transition, set during the 1995 referendum. Oyster, her fourth novel, takes place in Prince Edward County, Ontario, where she was born and grew up. Family tangles and literary ambition propel the plot but finally don't overshadow the build to a full-fledged rom-com.

From the moment she first climbed into the saddle, Shelley Lee Mizener discovered that movement changes everything. In her book Wild Pony, she shares a life lived beyond the fences, across continents, through sport, and community, along open roads and unexpected turns.

Wild Pony is a memoir of courage, presence, and trust, in the body, in the world, and in the quiet intelligence that guides us forward. Through horses, trails, athletics, and everyday adventures, Mizener shows that freedom isn't somewhere else —it begins the moment you choose to move with intention and heart.

Frank Nixon is an author and former journalist with deep roots in Quebec's Eastern Townships. A graduate of McGill University and Concordia University, he contributed hundreds of articles to community newspapers throughout the region, covering everything from municipal politics and local business to the people and events that shape small-town life.

His debut novella, Wayward Voices, draws on those experiences. Set in the fictional town of Wayward, the story follows a disgraced Montreal reporter who seeks refuge in a small Eastern Townships community while confronting the mistakes, memories, and relationships that continue to haunt him.
