Biography & Books

Tanya Bellehumeur-Allatt’s fiction, essays and poems have appeared in numerous literary magazines and anthologies, including Best Canadian Essays 2019 and 2015, The New Quarterly, Grain, EVENT, Prairie Fire, Malahat Review, subTerrain, carte blanche, Antigonish Review, Room, Queens Quarterly, The Masters Review Anthology X (forthcoming) and The Toronto Star. Tanya’s work has been nominated for several awards, including the QWF’s Mavis Gallant Award for Nonfiction. She holds an MA from McGill University and an MFA in Creative Writing from UBC. Tanya is the author of the poetry collection Chaos Theories of Goodness (Shoreline, 2022) and Peacekeeper’s Daughter: A Middle East Memoir (Thistledown, 2021).
